| Getting There |
The nearest large international airports are Vienna (Austria), Prague (Czech Republic) and Budapest (Hungary). A few international flights land at the Bratislava airport.
There is direct bus connection from Vienna airport Schwechat to bus station Mlynske Nivy in Bratislava. Please, note that it is important to buy your bus ticket at the airport as soon as possible after your arrival to Vienna (in case you do not buy the ticket soon it can happen that the bus company will not have enough cars to take all the passengers).
The bus operates from 8:00 to 22:00 with approximately one hour intervals. Please check the timetable for details (you need to get from Vienna Schwechat to Bratislava-AS).
You can also get to Bratislava by train from Vienna Südbahnhof station. The distance from Vienna to Bratislava is approximately 60 km. You may check the timetable here (pdf document).
It takes approximately 5 hours (about 400 km) to get from Prague to Bratislava by train or by bus. You can also fly to Bratislava by regular direct air line from Prague.
Distance from Budapest is about 200 km. By train or by bus it takes 2.5 hours. Train from Budapest-Keleti pu. Station departs for Bratislava approximately every 2 hours.

Once in Bratislava it is easiest to get to the conference site by taxi. It costs around 10 EUR from the airport and slightly less from bus/train stations.
If you are an adventureous traveller you may also use municipal transport to get to the Sorea hotel. The hotel Sorea can be reached by bus no. 29, 30, 37, 39, X1, X4; it is located near the bus stop "Park kultury".
From the Bratislava bus station Mlynske Nivy take the bus n. 70 to the terminal station "Novy most" and then any of the buses no. X1, X4, 29, 30, 37 to the station "Park kultury".
The best connection from the Bratislava Main-station (train) is by bus no. 82 to the station "Mala scena" and then by bus no. X1 or X4 to the station "Park kultury". Bus no. 32 connects the Bratislava Main-station to the hotel Druzba (bus stop "Botanicka").
The best way to the hotel from Bratislava airport is to take bus no. 61 to the Main-station, then bus no. 82 to "Mala scena" and finally bus no. X1 or X4 to the station "Park kultury".
From the Petrzalka train station take the bus no. 90 to the terminal station "Novy most" and then bus no. X1 or X4 to the station "Park kultury".
The tickets for the (trolley)bus/tram can be obtained at tobacconist's or in vending machines located at most bust/tram stops. We recomend to use 30-min tickets which cost 16 SKK (0.40 EUR) or 1-hour ones which cost 20 SKK (0.50 EUR). Each ticket must be validated upon entering the (treolley)bus/tram in a device located inside the vehicle. Afterwards, the ticket is valid for the apropriate duration on all tram-(trolley)bus lines.
