TRANSPORTATION
The conference takes place in the middle of Slovakia, in Nový Smokovec
(New Smokovec).
The conference site is accessible from Vienna (about 6 hrs. by IC/EC
trains), Bratislava (about 4 hrs. by IC/EC trains), Prague (about 7
hrs. by IC/EC trains) and Kosice (about 1 hr. by trains). There is
direct train connection between Bratislava and Poprad-Tatry about
every 2 hours and there are several direct trains from Vienna to
Poprad-Tatry. Moreover, there is a direct bus connection from Vienna
to Bratislava about every one hour.
Fast trains and international IC trains stop in the Poprad-Tatry
station, where you can get the TEŽ (TATRANSKÉ ELEKTRICKÉ ŽELEZNICE -
Tatra's electrical Railways) connection to Nový Smokovec stop. The TEŽ
railway stop is located only 50 m from the Atrium hotel.
